Join Greens MP for Prahran, Sam Hibbins and Greens candidate for Melbourne Ports, Steph Hodgins-May for a community bike ride up St Kilda Road on Sunday 29 May. We'll be calling for a separated bike lanes along St Kilda Road, which is one of the most dangerous routes for cyclists in Melbourne.
A study by Vic Roads identified St Kilda Road as the Melbourne's worst place for accidents involving cyclists. It's time for the Government to invest in a separate bike lane along St Kilda Road to protect cyclists and improve the livability of our community.
Meet Sam and Steph at 10am at St Kilda Town Hall and we'll ride together up to Federation Square. Wear something green if you can!
Bring a helmet, water and your bike. Ride is expected to take approximately 30 mins and will be at a leisurely pace so as to suite all participants.
