The Victorian Local Council Elections will be held in October 2016, and Greens branches across the state are running grassroots campaigns - from Warrnambool to Gippsland, from Ballarat to Bayside and throughout Melbourne’s suburbs and neighbourhoods.
The visibility of our local council candidates in their neighbourhood is so important. Especially in areas with postal voting, recognising the face and name of candidates counts for a lot when undecided voters are making up their mind.
Hosting a poster at your place helps send a powerful message that people in your neighbourhood want more inclusive communities, to protect our precious green spaces and bushland, sustainability at the local level and to ensure that development benefits the community, not just property developers.
Can you put up your local Greens candidate's poster in your front yard or road-facing window?
