We installed a 3Kw system several years ago. The costing for this is biassed against contributors to the grid. Good on you, Greens, for developing policies around this.

I rent and cannot install solar power but I do buy renewable energy from my electricity provider. I also donate regular to CORENA (http://corenafund.org.au/) as the best way that I have found to get Australia to 100% renewable as fast as possible.

I have never regretted having a 3kW solar system installed despite the fact that, under current circumstances, it will take about nine years to recoup the installation costs in savings. I feel proud that for every kW of power produced by my installation, there will be less pollution pumped into the atmosphere
