Bird Walk For Beginners

Try a fun hobby that you can do anywhere with minimal equipment or expense!  Join experienced Wildlife Guide Janine Duffy on a Bird Walk for Beginners at Westgate Park in Port Melbourne.

This morning walk is suitable for anyone with an interest in nature.  If you don’t know what a magpie is, this will be fun.  If you can tell a Long-billed Corella from a Little Corella, this will be fun.  Kids are very welcome!

Janine has had fun birdwatching all around the world with people of every level – from teenagers who’ve never used binoculars, to super-keen birders who’ve seen 6,000+ species.  She believes birdwatching should be relaxing, non-competitive and never intimidating.

This special event is a being run as a fundraiser for the Port Phillip Greens to support the election campaign of Steph Hodgins-May, candidate for the federal government seat of Melbourne Ports.  It will be a great chance to meet like-minded people dedicated to preserving our environment.

Afterwards join us for a fun make-your-own pizza lunch (included). Gluten-free and vegetarian options available.
