About Les Thomas
Les Thomas is a poetic alt country singer-songwriter and storyteller from Naarm/Melbourne. His music is inspired by greats like Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Steve Earle and Hank Williams as well as local legends like Archie Roach, Kev Carmody and Paul Kelly. Noted for his passionate and engaged live performances, Les never hesitates to commit to the stories and people he sings about. As a stolen generations descendent via his mother’s side, music has proved to be an important pathway for reconnecting with his Aboriginality and cultural connection.
