Melbourne weather at its best means we're moving this event INDOORS just down the road from the Gardens to Studio 66, 66 Cecil Street Fitzroy.
See you there!
We'll make native animal masks and paint colourful signs for the #climatestrike on September 20.
Did you know that we’re half as likely to see a kookaburra in the wild as we were in 1999? Or that a whopping 30 per cent of Victoria's native animals are listed as threatened?
It's easy to get sad and scared but there's so much to celebrate in Victoria's quirky critters and special places. And there's a lot we can do to restore them.
Greens MPs Samantha Ratnam, Tim Read and Sam Hibbins are looking forward to a craft and chat. We’ll also share some exciting plans to put #extinctioncrisis on the agenda in Parliament.
WHEN: 1-3pm on Sunday 15th September
WHERE: Studio 66, 66 Cecil Street, Fitzroy
WHAT TO BRING: Any craft supplies and snacks you can't go without. Your kids (or someone else's!)
We'll bring a stash of crafting gear, but please feel free to add your own. Some picnic supplies provided but bring any special snacks.
The Greens are committed to accessibility and inclusion. If you have specific needs for this event, please let us know by emailing [email protected].
This event will take place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
