Day of Action for the Forests

Join us for our first Day of Action for the Forests!

Victoria’s precious Central Highlands native forest is being logged at an alarming rate to produce Reflex paper. This has pushed the Leadbeater’s Possum to be declared critically endangered.

Would you like to be part of our Day of Action for Forests on June 19?

There are two parts to our action:

  1. In the morning, we're going to get out across Melbourne on community stalls and door-knocks to talk to the community about why our forests need to be on the state and federal agenda. Lunch will also be provided for volunteers involved in the Day of Action at Blackburn Bowls Club from 12pm
  2. In the afternoon, we're very excited to invite you to 'The Forest, The Future', a community forum with guest Bob Brown hosted by Samantha Dunn, Greens MP for Eastern Metropolitan. RSVP now to get a seat!

There's never been a more important time to bring together the community to ensure action is taken to protect our forests.

Please RSVP now to be part of a community stall, or join one of our door-knocks. We'll let you know your nearest event as the date draws closer.

We currently have two door-knocks at 10am in

  • Blackburn or
  • Box Hill

Never doorknocked before? No worries! Training will be provided on the day and you’ll be partnered up with an experienced volunteer to get started.

Would your community group interested in participating in our day of action? We're happy to help you arrange your own event - just send an e-mail to the address below.

In the meantime, don't forget to sign the petition to end native forest logging here:

Looking forward to hearing from you!
