The extinction crisis is here and it’s getting worse. More than 700 species in Victoria are under threat because of climate change, habitat destruction and failure to protect our precious creatures and places. Yet our Government in Victoria is doing nothing to turn this crisis around.
With pressure mounting on the streets, our politicians are on notice. There’s never been a better time to force our Parliaments to own the truth about extinction and tackle it head on. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the cross-bench to propose an urgent extinction inquiry.
In the last few days we’ve had promising whispers that Labor will back this urgent inquiry. If it’s true, it’s a brilliant testament to the hard work of so many like you raising your voices for our future. Now we need to lock in this commitment.
This urgent inquiry has never been more important. Let’s bring it home!
When: Wednesday, 23 October 2019, 6.30-8.00pm
