Join Sonya and special guest Senator Janet Rice this Monday for a special Doorknock in the heart of Higgins.
The election is only weeks away and now is the best time to talk to voters. This is one of the most marginal Liberal held seats in the country and it is in a knife's edge. We can win Higgins.
We have the opportunity to elect Sonya Semmens to the Parliament and put the Greens in the balance of power- and we have had a fantastic response from voters so far! Higgins is ready for change.
Together with other Greens members in the Lower House, we can kick the Liberals out and by holding balance of power, push the next government to go further and faster on climate change and continue fighting for equality and justice on all the big issues.
Our campaign is powered by people and we need everyone pitching in to win! To elect Sonya, we need to have thousands of conversations with voters about the issues that they care about. Now that we are out of lockdown the most effective way for us to do this is to get on the doors!
Join us to have meaningful conversations with voters in Higgins, and to welcome Windsor back to the electorate!
You don't need to be an expert to have these conversations, we'll provide training on the day! We will also provide you with walk sheets (maps of houses to visit), clipboards, pens and conversation guides for chatting with voters around shared Green values and the upcoming election.
We will require you to provide proof of double vaccination prior to the event. If this is an issue please get in contact so we can provide some virtual volunteer opportunities for you.
A note on accessibility: We welcome volunteers of all abilities, diversity of genders, sexual identities, racial backgrounds, cultures, languages and experiences to join and get involved. If you require any reasonable adjustments to feel comfortable or to be able to fully participate in this event, please get in contact with Jarrah on the number or email below.
We acknowledge that this event takes place on the land of the peoples people of the Kulin Nations. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
