Lidia's First Speech

You are invited to join members, supporters, family, friends and the Aboriginal community of Victoria to watch the first speech of Lidia Thorpe, member for Northcote and first Aboriginal woman elected to the Victorian Parliament.

Lidia will be smoking the steps of Parliament at 3:15pm, followed by speech at 4pm.

Please meet us on the steps of Parliament House, Spring St, at 3:00pm to watch the smoking and allow enough time to enter the building.

There is only a very limited number of places inside the gallery itself so we will live stream the speech into the Queen's Hall inside Parliament House so that everyone can participate in the historic occasion.

Going into parliament house is a bit like going through airport security - only stricter. Please bring as little as possible to speed things up.

We will follow the event inside Parliament House with drinks across the road, which you are welcome to join us for.

Please RSVP below.
