Thursday Virtual Voter Calls - Melbourne City

Melbourne is hurting. As we emerge from this pandemic, we cannot continue with the broken politics that reward pollution, gift property rights to the biggest developers and let corporate donations influence public policy.

We need a new type of politics, that puts the people of Melbourne first. That returns Local Councils to the Local Community. Our plan for a fairer, more sustainable, more community-minded city is a people’s plan. And we have something the other major tickets don't have, you! We will be training grassroots volunteers just like you, to have conversations with voters over the phone, from our homes.

You'll be trained on how to make voter calls there will be plenty of support with a script, tips for persuasion and the nitty gritty answers on Local Government policy. These sessions will be run by experienced campaigners over a Zoom call and we'll all be doing it together. All you'll need is a computer with a secure internet connection and some headphones with a speaker to talk into.

One volunteer can talk to around 277 people in the few weeks of the election - so sign up and join our grassroots, socially distanced team of campaigners that will put people first in Melbourne this October!

We acknowledge that events within the City of Melbourne take place on stolen land and respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
