Policy Forum with Senator Janet Rice - Marriage Equality

Australia is ready for marriage equality.

The community understands that it's an issue of basic fairness. With UK, Ireland, our neighbours New Zealand, and many other countries legislating for marriage equality over the last few years, Australia is getting left behind. What legislation is on the table for marriage equality, how is what the Greens are doing different, and how can we make equal marriage a reality? Join Janet Rice to discuss this important issue in the second of our policy forums.

Before Janet became a Greens Victorian Senator in 2014, she was a councillor and Mayor at Maribyrnong. She is a professional facilitator, long-term environmental campaigner, climate scientist, and one of the founders of the Australian Greens Victoria. She was the portfolio holder for LGBTI & marriage equality, and lives in Footscray with her partner Penny and their two adult sons.
