Hosted by Cr Katherine Copsey.
You've lounged with Adam and dined with Jordon.... We're now excited to announce our latest guest, Senator for NSW, Dr Mehreen Faruqi. Senator Faruqi will be joined by Councillor Katherine Copsey as our host for the On the Couch series exclusively presented by the Port Phillip Greens.
Senator Faruqi is a civil and environmental engineer and life-long activist for social and environmental justice. In 2013, she joined NSW State Parliament, becoming the first Muslim woman to sit in an Australian parliament. In 2018, Mehreen became Australia’s first Muslim senator. She has been a passionate advocate against racism and misogyny.
Katherine Copsey is our current Councillor and Candidate for Lake Ward in the City of Port Phillip. Katherine fiercely advocates for the housing and climate crisis at council. Being a musician, Katherine is a friend and fan of our local and internationally-renowned art and music community.
Funds raised from each ticket will buy critical materials for our Local Government election campaign. But we still need your help! This is an election like no other with physical campaigning still banned by the Victorian Government.
You can volunteer to phonebank or host a placard by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you on the Couch and let's keep Port Phillip Green!
