Post-Election Scrutineer Training - Council Edition

In the event of a close contest it's vital we ensure that the count is conducted properly, and the Green vote is maximised.

As a post-election scrutineer, your role will be to observe the VEC counting staff & ensure the validity of votes, as well as recording preference flows to give our psephologists (number-crunchers) a heads up on where the result will land.

This training will cover the basics of following and recording preferences, Dos and Don'ts in the counting room, and how to spot a valid and invalid vote.

Keen eyesight and attention to detail are important attributes of great scrutineers! As is working hours availability (the count is usually conducted 9-5, Monday to Friday).
