Politics in the Pub: Young Greens & Lidia Thorpe

Join the Victorian Young Greens and special guests Senator Lidia Thorpe and Councillor Angelica Panopoulos for a drink and a yarn at Politics in the Pub.

Lidia is the first ever Aboriginal person elected to the Senate in Victoria and Angelica is the Greens youngest Councillor in state - together we'll talk about the Greens' vision for a better, fairer and more inclusive society and how we can get there.

Lidia Thorpe
Greens Senator for Victoria
In 2017, Lidia became the first Aboriginal woman elected to Victorian Parliament. Now, she holds Federal politicians to account as the first Aboriginal Senator for Victoria. Lidia is a proud Djab Wurrung Gunnai Gunditjmara woman, activist and campaigner.

Angelica Panopoulos
Greens Councillor for Moreland City Council
Elected in 2020 Angelica became the Greens' youngest Councillor in Victoria at just 21 years old, she's studying law, international relations and Greek language at university.
