The Victorian Labor Government has announced they will aim to reduce our state’s climate pollution by 45-50% by 2030.
Is this target in line with science? Unfortunately not. Scientists have called for a reduction of 75% by 2030.
Join Greens State MP for Melbourne Ellen Sandell for a special climate change briefing. Ellen will unpack the Government's emission reduction target announcement and their climate strategy – and explain why the Government needs to go further and faster on climate change.
WHEN: Wednesday 5 May, 1:00pm-2:00pm AEST.
WHERE: Online event via Zoom. Register and we'll email you the Zoom link.
Climate action in the next decade is critical. If we don’t do our fair share in Victoria, we won’t have a hope of avoiding catastrophic climate change. That means more bushfires, extreme weather and loss of lives. We must do all we can to protect ourselves, our kids and our ecosystems.
We'd love to see you at our briefing. We're also keen to hear your questions. You can send them through in advance to [email protected]
See you on Wednesday!
