Whitehorse Branch Speaker Night

The Whitehorse Greens are happy to present another one of our informative not-to-be-missed Speaker Nights!

Our first speaker is Sarah Bright, who is responsible for research and campaigns with the Youth Worker Centre. Sarah will be talking about the exploitation of workers in our current economic environment, which includes the vulnerabilities of workers in the gig economy.

As a contrast, our second speaker is Dave Kerin who is co-founder of ‘Earthworker Cooperative’ which manufactures solar hot water systems and energy storage. According to the Earthworker Cooperative: “as a community-led initiative, Earthworker is part of the transition toward new ways of living and working that empower us to take care of each other and the planet. Earthworker arose from a dynamic partnership between the Trade Union and Environment movements, and broader civil society, all concerned with creating a more just and sustainable world”.

It will be an interesting night on topics we rarely hear about so feel free to ask others along. We also have quite a few new members so please come along and make them feel welcome.

It you have any queries at all, please give me a call.
Warm regards,
Sally Moseby
