Wills: Kurdish Community Stall - Newroz Festival

We need some wonderful people to join us at our stall. No previous knowledge or training required -- experienced Team Wills members will be leading the stall.

The Stall will be held at the Newroz Festival - a Kurdish Community festival that has been celebrated for 2600 and welcomes the beginning of Spring and is also symbolic of the Kurdish fight for freedom and independence. Throughout the day there will be speeches, music dance performances and traditional cusine.

The federal election is just around the corner, and to get Sarah Jefford elected in Wills, we know that we need to have thousands of conversations with voters about the issues that they care about.

The Greens don't accept corporate donations and so our biggest asset is our people. So please sign up!

Prior to the event, we need you to provide proof of double or triple vaccination if eligible. If this is an issue, please contact us so we can provide you with some virtual volunteer options.

A note on accessibility: We welcome volunteers of all abilities, diversity of genders, sexual identities, racial backgrounds, cultures, languages and experiences to join and get involved. If you require any reasonable adjustments to feel comfortable or to be able to fully participate in this event, please contact us via the details below.

We acknowledge that these events take place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, that sovereignty was never ceded and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
