I'm Adam Pulford, I'm a Brunswick local and for the last decade I’ve campaigned for social justice and LGBTIQ+ rights.
I’m running for Wills because right now too many people are homeless, too many people live in poverty and too many people are struggling to make ends meet. As economic inequality is rising, climate change is getting worse, risking our lives, communities and environment. People seeking asylum are being locked up indefinitely in torturous offshore detention camps by the Liberal and Labor parties. And far too many of our current leaders seek to divide us as they act in their own interests or the interests of their big corporate donors instead of putting our community first.
But this year we can do something big: we can win Wills for the Greens and send someone to Parliament who will fight for our community and our values.
Someone who will fight for the change we need: to raise Newstart and the minimum wage, restore penalty rates and make big corporations and the rich pay their fair share of tax. For free undergrad uni and TAFE. For a home for everyone. To stop Adani and all new coal mines and ramp up renewables. To close the camps on Manus and Nauru. For equality and justice for all of us. For our local schools and suburbs.
To win it will take all of us doing something big. Will you join us? Sign up to volunteer now.
