Deakin Greens - Gender Equality for a New Generation Panel Discussion

The Deakin Greens Club Geelong presents - GENDER EQUALITY FOR A NEW GENERATION - A discussion on women in politics, the workplace, the home and everywhere else.

The fight for gender equality continues, with women rising up in new ways at home, in the workforce and in politics to take us closer to equality.

Join us for this panel discussion to explore the ways in which women have forged their own paths in the world, observations on new movements such as #MeToo, and how women can harness their potential to succeed now and into the future. The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.

You'll hear from:

✨Samantha Ratnam - Leader of the Victorian Greens & Member for the Northern Metropolitan Region
✨Maria Rae - Lecturer in Politics and Policy at Deakin University
✨Courtney Gardner - Doctor & Greens candidate for Polwarth

Join us from 5:30pm for some food (vegetarian/vegan and other dietary options available) before our forum kicks off at 6pm.

All women and gender diverse guests are welcome, along with allies too. Entry is free, but we ask that non-Deakin students provide a donation to help cover the cost of food.
